C. Parks Catering & Events is the tried-and-true definition of a home grown, Atlanta small business.
Founded in 1987, Atlanta native Carole Parks started the southern themed catering company and quickly built it into one of Atlanta’s leading catering companies, even being recognized as a top caterer for the 1996 Olympics.
After growing the business for 27 successful years, Carole decided it was time to pass the mixing bowl onto her daughter, Laura Rogers, who had not only grown up in the kitchen with Carole, but who was also passionate about food and the catering industry.
A Family Affair
Laura began her career working alongside her mother while attending high school at St. Pius followed by obtaining her degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Endicott in Boston Mass BA. She grew her catering knowledge while working at The Ritz Carlton Buckhead and was hired as the Pastry and Day Chef at Pano’s & Paul’s Restaurant prior to becoming the second female chef hired in management at Buckhead Life Restaurant Group.
Not only does Laura have deep rooted culinary experience in Atlanta but she has also worked with famous chefs including Lidia Bastianich, José Andrés, and has conferred with other popular chefs, including Wolfgang Puck.

A Perfectionist on Every Detail
Marie, also an Atlanta native, began her love for the hospitality industry while at Wofford College in South Carolina. She was hired at Milliken & Company as a Guest House & Public Relations Associate where she refined her knowledge of southern hospitality, fine dining and the amenities of the world’s finest hotels all merged within the corporate world. Marie quickly moved up the ladder where she entertained the likes of The Vice President of the United States, Royal Crown Princes and many C-Level executives. Marie obtained her BS in accounting, BA in Economics and her Juris Doctor degree prior to beginning her legal and business career as a tax attorney specializing in corporate, state and local taxes. Marie also taught for the Georgia Department of Revenue and became a professor in Birmingham, Alabama. After living in Alabama, Marie’s husband received a job offer from King and Spalding Law Firm and Marie was on her way back home to Atlanta.

Laura and Marie decided to bring their experience to the already great reputation of the
firm. In 2013 they re-branded as C. Parks Catering & Events. Laura now serves as the CEO
and Executive Chef and Marie as the CFO and Executive Director. The perfect recipe for
